We Coach

The one thing that most of our clients found coaching gave them and unlocked sustainable performance? Clarity!

As a result their business impact grew, focus on what matters sharpened, relationships improved; a great foundation for sustainable performance.

Science tells us, every little thing on your mind can hinder (even physical) performance.

When Growth meets Pressure

Client: founding CEO.

When we first met, the CEO said: A lot is going on. Not sure where to start. I don't have enough quality thinking space. I'm feeling the pressure. Talking to a colleague just does not feel right. Sometimes I'm not even sure anymore whether I'm the right person for the job. Board and Investors are supportive but they rather talk about progress and results than my challenges and development.

The board was supportive indeed. They supported Leadership Coaching.

"Coaching brought clarity I really needed to perform at my best for the company. Ulrich masters the balance of challenge and support."

First Time CEO

Situation: The founder had done it all; left his mid-management role to become CEO and founder, grew the company to 45 people, sold to clients, put processes in place and raised capital.

He was excited and overwhelmed at the same time. He was full of ideas but with all the noise around him, he found it increasingly difficult to balance priorities. The lack of time had long pushed the opportunity for personal development to one side.

He could not scale the company further without scaling himself.

He later said “Throughout this tremendous business transformation coaching helped me to feel 3 cm taller, having gained clarity and re-gained my confidence.”

Want to gain clarity but don't know here to start? Try this short exercise.

First 100 days

Client: a member of the executive committee.

Despite a thriving 25+ year career the new role came with plenty of challenges.

During the first 100 days we supported the client in honing in on her strengths. Coaching enabled her to set the right priorities for herself and the business, adapt her natural growth mind-set to the new environment and to set herself and the business up for success - far beyond 100 days.

Succession

Client: the CEO and founder of a fast growing investor-backed company.

CEO and board recognised that the next phase of growth would require a different CEO profile. At the same time they were keen to preserve the founder's core expertise - and ensure his confidence, clarity and sharp mind benefit the business and remained at top levels.

1+1 = 2x

Client: the executive team of a private equity backed European organisation. 12 people - 4 nationalities.

With business acquisitions, promotions, new joiners and departures the team wanted to be greater than the sum of their parts again.

We helped raise awareness through psychometric insights, combined it with coaching, and each team member went systematically from getting to know themselves and learning more about their peers to identifying opportunities where the team can excel as a unit.

Future Leaders Programme

Client: PE backed growth business

With new ambitions for the business the client had hired more than a dozen senior professionals reporting into the Exec.

Whilst we coached the CEO and members of the Executive (facing the transition from doing to strategic leadership in a fast changing environment) we were asked to create a customised Future Leaders Programme.

The result: a 1-year programme, an holistic view on sustainable performance, communications, growth-mindset, whilst connecting with top performers in the market and developing individual leadership growth journeys.

If that is not enough, get in touch! Often a conversation over coffee is the best test for a successful coaching relationship. Taking a little time out to let the world go past and revisit what is going on can be just enough to establish what is holding us back or slowing us down.
